FlexGreen is an environmentally friendly product that can be used for numerous types of radius applications. It offers architects, designers, and manufacturers a quality bendable product that is better for your customer and the environment.
FlexGreen is an excellent material to produce stable architectural panels that can contribute to LEED credit points for MR 4.1, MR 4.2, and EQ 4.4.The face is made from an FSC certified Eucalyptus fiber hardboard that contains no added formaldehyde. This face material is produced from trees grown according to sustainable, environmentally correct practices. The core is certified to be 100% recovered and recycled fiber and contains no added formaldehyde therefore the entire product is NAF.
FlexGreen allows for normal fabrication methods of attachment to a rigid structure and then application of a face material. It is designed to bend down to a 10” radius prior to lamination. The hardboard face easily accepts adhesive so additional treatment to the face is not necessary. Also due to the stable hardboard face on FlexGreen, it is possible to laminate a single-ply veneer or other thin materials directly to the hardboard by use of a cold or hot press prior to bending. This process will result in a very stable panel with a bending radius of 16” to 18”. This is ideal for curved architectural panels to be used for walls, ceilings, reception areas and other high quality panels. |
